The Sands of Time

We stopped at the Great Sand Dunes on our way home from Taos. I had not been there yet. We snuck in and spent the night in the park, which meant when we woke up in the morning, we had the best view of the light coming over the sand. It was a pretty cool stop to make. The walkers in the group loved the adventure; those along for the ride, weren't as pumped on the experience.

Hello My Old Heart

The Oh Hello's

Sometimes you just need to escape (ie, try out the new camper)

You need to head south, find a little green chili and some art...that makes it all better.

Taos is so close you can taste it; and yet when we're there it feels like another part of the world.
I love it for that. Here are some photos from a quick trip this month.

Snack on This

One of my favorite photos these days

I feel compelled to add this image also. Such is the plight of a mother: fairness.
(which is why I know the reality of eating 1/6th of a Snickers Bar)

Winter Snow Day

The cold keeps me in. What can I say: I'm fair-weather at best (really I just prefer to be warm). So this winter business is brutal on a mom with two kids. Any promise of playing in the sun is neurotically fueled by getting dressed and out in the fresh air.

Getting miss M on board is a charge of it's own making. Usually though, once she goes, she likes it.
